My Story
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA to a compassionate and loving family. I spent the majority of my early childhood life growing up in a dance studio where I learned commitment, professionalism, and grit.
My personal growth journey began in 2007 after losing one of my closest friends to drugs at the age of 14. Around this time, I felt a lack of self-identity and sought more out of my life. I enrolled myself in a series of personal growth and development workshops… my life has never been the same since. It was in these seminars that I better understood who I am and what my purpose is.
Since then, over the last ten years, I have been involved in continuing the sustainability and growth of this work; whether it is facilitating youth leadership programs or engaging in one-on-one coaching. I have seen, first-hand, the value of self-exploration. I have experienced the impact of becoming more aware of what is working, what is not working, and creating more of what I want in my life.
In 2018, I decided to pursue my Master’s in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego. In addition, I decided to become certified as a leadership coach. My intention for coaching is to serve my community, both individually and collectively, by showing love, empathy, and caring; to ignite the light within others.
What does that mean? It is my belief that we all have a fire within us; however, some of us have not yet thrown a match inside to light it up. Some of us have the light, yet we dim it or hide it from fully shining. To me, light resembles passion, awareness, love.
Aside from coaching and facilitating, I am passionate about travel. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to travel to sixteen different countries, where I learn more about myself everywhere I go. Through travel, I am able to experience other cultures, trust my intuition, and adopt diverse ways of being. Aside from travel, I also LOVE nature - especially the beach. I would spend every night watching the sunset if I could. Some of my hobbies include art, dance, learning new skills, and doing just about anything in nature.
I am grateful for the life I have been creating. I hope that our paths can cross and that we can connect in the near future!
Warmly,
Sara Hilecher
